Wow! Here we are, Day 21! Congratulations on sticking to your commitment!!

Let’s focus our prayers today on a spirit of prayer to be released in our homes and churches, prayer that God will pour out His Holy Spirit and revive us again.

Day 20, 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting

In the words of Jentezen Franklin: “Cry out for the lost and hurting, the poor, the addicted. Ask God to send missionaries, ambassadors of His Word, into the earth.”

“Ask of Me, and I will give you the nations for your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for your possession.” (Psalm 2:8)

“Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” (Matthew 9:38)

Fast Friday Focus–WHOLEHEARTEDNESS

Joel 2 contains some amazing promises that God makes to His people when they obey His call to “return to Him with all your heart and with fasting” (v.12) and “declare a fast” (v. 15)

Meditate on each of these promises:

Provision (v. 19)

Protection (v. 20-21)

Prosperity (v. 22-24, 26)

Restoration (v. 25) and

Revival (vs. 28-29)

What does it mean for you to “return to Him with all your heart?” Ask the Holy Spirit to show you what (if any) part of your heart you might be holding back and then hand it over to Jesus.

What would the fulfilment of each of these promises look like for you? Thank the Father in advance that all these promises are going to be fulfilled in your life.

Most revivals began with a time of prayer and fasting…usually by a few dedicated individuals or a small group or a congregation.

Shall we press in and pray for a Holy Spirit revival?

Make a list of problems you are facing that seem BIG to you.

Immerse yourself in a focused time of praise and worship that makes you aware of the BIGNESS OF GOD. Scripture calls this “magnifying the Lord.”

Check the size of those problems again…have they shrunk yet? Keep on magnifying Him until you experience the reality of: BIG, BIG GOD…ITTY, BITTY PROBLEM

Pray that you will find a mentor or mentors who will build you up as you continue your faith journey with Jesus. He may highlight a person or a couple for you to approach or He may have already brought someone into your life that you have not identified as a mentor yet or He may yet bring someone to fulfil this crucial role in your life.

Fast and pray for courage to obey the Lord in areas where you’ve been called to take a risk for the sake of the gospel. It could be something simple as beginning a conversation with your neighbhour…or as monumental as changing your career.

Ask God to show you what your giftings are–personal and spiritual and how you may use them for His glory within and outside the Church.

Day 14, 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting

We encourage you to take some time today just to worship God. In Psalm 34:3, David invites us to “magnify the Lord.” We magnify or make God big, which then makes our problems small!

Pick out a favourite Worship CD and just play it while you sing along, lift up your hands, get down on your knees, dance…or however else the Spirit moves you! Can I also suggest that you listen only to Worship Songs while you’re in your car? You’ll be amazed what a difference it will make!
